General Dentistry in Perth — the care that prevents emergencies
Why general dentistry matters

The treatments that catch problems early

Most of our patients come in for general dentistry. Regular check-ups and cleans catch issues early — decay, cracked teeth, gum disease — before they turn into the kind of pain that wakes you up at night. We recommend a check-up every six months for most people. If it's been longer, no judgment — book in and we'll get you back on track.

General dentistry, answered

How often should I have a dental check-up?

Every six months for most patients. Regular check-ups catch decay, gum disease and cracks early — before they become painful emergencies.

What does a check-up and clean include?

An examination, x-rays where needed, and a professional clean to remove plaque and tartar. We'll talk through anything we find before recommending further treatment.

How much does a filling cost?

It depends on the size, location and material. We give you a clear price before we begin. For new emergency patients, your first visit is $349, which includes one surface filling or an extraction.

Do you do wisdom teeth removal?

Yes — for impacted or painful wisdom teeth. Note: wisdom-tooth removal is excluded from the $349 first-visit offer; pricing is given before we begin.

What if I haven't been to the dentist in years?

No judgment. Many of our patients come back after long breaks. We'll do a thorough check, talk through anything we find, and start with what's most important.

Do you accept health funds?

Yes — we're a preferred provider for HBF, Bupa, Medibank, HCF, NIB, CBHS and Smile.com.au, and we claim on the spot.

Why general dentistry matters

Most dental problems start small — a tiny cavity, early gum inflammation, a hairline crack — and become emergencies only when they go untreated for years. Six-monthly check-ups catch these issues early, when they're cheap to fix and don't involve pain. That's the whole point of general dentistry in Perth.

What's included in a check-up and clean

A typical check-up appointment at our Perth CBD and Belmont clinics includes a thorough examination of your teeth and gums, x-rays where needed (usually annually), and a professional clean to remove plaque and tartar that you can't reach with brushing and flossing. We talk you through anything we find before recommending further treatment.

Common general dental treatments we provide in Perth

Beyond check-ups, the most common general treatments we provide are fillings (composite, porcelain or metal), tooth extractions including wisdom teeth, root canal therapy to save badly infected teeth, treatment for gum disease, dentures and bite splints for teeth grinding. Each is priced and explained before we begin.

Treating nervous patients

Many of our general dentistry patients are nervous about visiting — sometimes because they've been putting it off for years. We take it at your pace, explain everything before we do it, and use local anaesthetic for anything that needs it. No judgment, ever.
