1Toothache
- Rinse gently with warm salt water.
- Use floss to clear any trapped food.
- Take over-the-counter pain relief as directed.
- Avoid very hot, very cold or sugary food.
2Knocked-out tooth
- Hold the tooth by the crown, not the root.
- If it's clean and intact, place it back in the socket.
- If not, keep it moist in milk or tucked in your cheek.
- Get to us as quickly as possible.
3Swelling or bleeding
- Apply a cold pack to the outside of your cheek.
- For bleeding, bite gently on clean gauze for 10 minutes.
- Keep your head elevated.
- Call us — swelling can worsen fast.

Is my situation a dental emergency?
If you have severe or worsening pain, swelling, bleeding that won't stop, or a knocked-out or badly broken tooth, it's best treated as an emergency — call us on (08) 9020 7222 and we'll help you decide what to do. When in doubt, it's safer to ask.
How quickly can I be seen?
We keep appointments open each day for emergencies and offer same-day visits where availability allows. The fastest way to be seen is to call us directly.
What does it cost?
Your first emergency visit is $349, which includes a consultation, x-rays, and one tooth extraction or a surface filling (excludes wisdom-tooth removal; for new patients on their first emergency visit). If you need further treatment, we'll explain your options and the cost before we begin.
Are you open after hours or on weekends?
We're open six days a week — Monday to Thursday 8am–6pm, Friday 8am–4pm, and Saturday 8am–2pm. We're closed Sundays. If you're in pain outside our hours, call us and we'll let you know your options.
Do you accept health funds?
Yes — we're a preferred provider for major Australian health funds and can process claims on the spot with your card. The amount you can claim depends on your level of cover.
What should I bring to my appointment?
A photo ID, your health fund card if you have one, and a list of any medications you take. If you have a knocked-out tooth, bring it with you kept moist in milk.
