Clear aligners — straighter teeth without the metalwork
Invisalign aligners look like a thin, clear mouthguard — moulded specifically to fit over your upper and lower teeth. The clear material is medical-grade, non-toxic plastic.
The aligners gradually push your teeth into the desired position. Every 2 to 3 weeks the aligners are replaced with the next set in the series. Average treatment time is between 12 and 24 months depending on the starting position of your teeth.
The advantages of clear aligners
Virtually invisible
Most people won't notice you're wearing them. Especially attractive to adults and older teens who don't want metalwork.
Removable
Take them out to eat, brush and floss. No food restrictions, no awkward brushing around brackets.
Comfortable
Smooth plastic — no metal brackets or wires to cut the inside of your cheek. No tightening appointments that hurt for days.
Easy to clean
Rinse the aligners and clean as instructed. Your regular dental hygiene continues uninterrupted.
No enamel damage
Unlike metal braces, no adhesives bonded to teeth that can cause permanent enamel damage when removed.
Predictable timeline
Each aligner makes a specific adjustment. We can show you the planned end result before treatment starts.

DirectionsInvisalign questions, answered
How do clear aligners straighten your teeth?
Aligners fit tightly around your teeth like a thin mouthguard. Each set makes a slight, planned adjustment. Every 2-3 weeks you change to the next set, continuing the process until your teeth are aligned. They're worn about 22 hours per day.
How long will Invisalign treatment take?
Varies. Some patients need 12 months, others 24 — it depends on the starting position of your teeth and the complexity of the alignment. We give you an estimate after your consultation.
Is Invisalign uncomfortable?
Most people find aligners comfortable. There can be temporary discomfort after each new stage — a few days of pressure as the teeth start to move. This is normal and expected. Aligners are designed to move teeth without causing pain.
Will I need a retainer afterwards?
Yes — a retainer is usually needed after treatment to prevent teeth from slowly shifting back to their original position. After your last aligner, we'll assess whether you need to wear a retainer full-time, at night only, or for a shorter period.
What if I have an allergy to the aligner material?
Rare — but on rare occasions, patients are allergic to the aligner material and develop inflammation. If that happens, traditional braces may be the right option instead. We monitor your gum response in the first few weeks.
Are aligners better than traditional braces?
For most adult and teen cases, Invisalign offers comparable results with significant lifestyle advantages — invisible, removable for eating, no enamel damage. For some severe cases or specific bite issues, traditional braces or other orthodontic options may still be the better choice. We'll explain what's right for you.
